About Us
The Background
Prevailing with Purpose, LLC (PWP) is a consulting firm committed to igniting fire and passion in all to discover their purpose and meaning in life. Humanity has been designed to leave a positive impact on the world. By enduring obstacles and overcoming hardships, a winning mentality can be developed. To Prevail is To Win, and to prevail is to become victorious in the face of opposition. We believe in a continuous state of winning, where no opposition can defeat a person. We believe this can happen when there is a clear and inherent purpose to be achieved. PWP's chief aim is to usher humanity into a full realization of what that purpose is and to see humanity carry out their purpose in a practical way leading to generational change and lasting legacies. Through consulting, PWP will enlighten a person from a holistic perspective. As a consulting firm, we are focused on the five pillars of health and well-being (physical, mental, spiritual, social, emotional) and strive to reach the common good and assist people in various facets of life. The home, workplace, community, and world at-large is the route Prevailing with Purpose travels to serve all and engender global vibrancy.

Dr. Whetstone is the founder of Prevailing with Purpose, LLC. During his undergrad experience in college, Dr. Whetstone traveled one of the darkest roads in his life. As a young man lost and searching for truth, he grappled with the existential question of, "Why am I here?" For him, there was no meaning in life and no purpose for living. His life was changed at the age of 21 and he discovered his purpose, and that purpose was to serve God and serve others. Since then, Dr. Whetstone has been an advocate for humanity. He lives with the proposition, "You understand the true purpose and meaning in life when you realize that life isn't really about you. It is bigger than you. When a person dies to selfish ambition and motive, they then can ascend to new heights to live fully and freely".
As a servant leader, he invests in others to see them reach their full potential. Over time, Dr. Whetstone has created and taught curriculum around leadership, professional development, life skills, Christian education, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. He is a professor in higher education and has become a subject matter expert and champion for various leadership topics. He is an educator, speaker, writer, consultant, researcher, organization enthusiast, and exhibitor of love. As he has continued to navigate life, he has realized the need to provide expert transgenerational advice on both the personal and professional level. This is done by suggesting practical solutions to address the challenges humanity faces when searching for "absolute truth" and in an ever-changing world.
